Guidelines
for the prepartion of a
floodline report
office

How to proceed?

1. The person requiring a floodline report (the owner or developer of a riverine property) or his representative (civil consulting engineer or architect) should enquire about the floodline requirements of the local authority.

2. This information and further basic information about the locality and extent of the project will enable SINSKE CONSULT to give a quotation for a floodline investigation.

3. The client should then appoint a surveyor to prepare a contour plan (or expand an existing contour plan) and to take some river cross-sections. Any culverts, bridges and weirs within the study area must be surveyed as well. SINSKE CONSULT will discuss the survey requirements with the surveyor of the client or, if requested, can appoint a suitable surveyor for the client.

4. SINSKE CONSULT will provide a floodline investigation report for the client and a coordinate-fixed CAD drawing showing the contour plan with the floodline for the consulting engineer/architect for further processing.

5. If the owner is interested to view the CAD drawing on his/her own PC and make additional annotations for the architect, but has no CAD software, SINSKE CONSULT can provide inexpensive CAD software for this purpose.
